In the late 90s O’Neal Construction developed the “How to Build a Bookstore” guide for Borders Books & Music. We would send a SWAT team to prospective locations around the country to evaluate them for suitability to become a Borders Bookstore. We built twenty three stores in eleven different states, including the flagship stores on the Magnificent Mile on Chicago’s lakefront and in Ann Arbor.
